About

My name is Kei (pronounced as 'Kay' or the letter 'K').

I am a trauma-informed and culturally sensitive therapist who has dedicated myself to helping individuals with a history of trauma and life challenges stemming from mental health issues.

In my daily practice, I work with people who are struggling with trauma history, resulting in conditions such as PTSD, C-PTSD, Panic Disorder, Anxiety, Depression, Codependency, Dissociation, and Addiction issues. While I primarily focus on trauma recovery work today, I originally trained in addiction recovery and worked with individuals facing substance use issues and a history of trauma.

When you're feeling alone, powerless, and unsafe, reaching out to a therapist requires courage. But I believe nobody should have to struggle alone. I want you to know that I am here to support you on your recovery journey. Being stuck in trauma is painful. I want to help you break free from past events, regain control over your life, and have the strength to live as your authentic self. —- That's why I'm here to help.

In my therapy sessions, I incorporate techniques from EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing), IFS (Internal Family Systems), Motivational Interviewing, Existential Therapy, and Relationship Therapy. During the trauma processing sessions, I use EMDR and IFS to access and process difficult memories to facilitate psychological healing. I also frequently emphasize the importance of setting healthy boundaries.

What distinguishes my therapy is my unwavering commitment to creating a safe and non-judgmental therapeutic environment. I believe in the power of collaboration and work closely with clients to develop personalized treatment plans and mutual goals. As a member of a minority, I deeply understand the importance of cultural sensitivity and strive to provide a therapeutic space where clients from all backgrounds can feel valued and heard.

Today, I am a certified EMDR therapist through EMDRIA (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing International Association), and Evergreen Certification Certified Clinical Trauma Professional Level 2 (CCTP-II). I am currently undergoing The Trauma Research Foundation’s Certificate in Trauma Stress Studies as well as various IFS (Internal Family Systems) based training.

Beyond my professional practice, I am a lifelong learner, staying up to date with the latest developments in the field of mental health.
